Full-time positions are rare in the fireworks and pyrotechnic industry as a majority of the employment opportunites are seasonal. However, at StarLite Pyrotechnics we provide spectacular fireworks displays year round and we also specialize in indoor pyrotechnics and special effects for a variety of corporate and private events.
Anyone interested in a career with StarLite Pyrotechnics must have successfully completed the Pyrotechnician and/or Fireworks Supervisor licensing program through Natural Resouces Canada, Explosives Regulatory Division (ERD). For licensing information, date and location of courses, please contact the ERD directly.
In addition, all technicians are required to participate in our safety and liability seminars as well as our own in-depth, hands-on, in-house training program. We prefer applicants with a technical or electronic background. Event management, production, stage, television, live performace or broadcast experience is a definite asset. Travel may be required on occassion for some assignments.
